Omar Zahraoui, Principal at the National Investment Center for Seniors Housing & Care (NIC), is a senior housing research professional with expertise in providing statistical and quantitative analyses and insights on various types of senior housing & care data. Alongside his analytical work, Zahraoui leverages his expertise to author insightful publications, including blogs, articles, and white papers for NIC and select industry players. His publications serve as valuable resources for industry professionals and constituents seeking in-depth knowledge and informed perspectives on the latest senior housing and care market trends.
Zahraoui engages with the research teams of university research centers, such as NORC at the University of Chicago and Harvard Joint Center for Housing Studies (JCHS), who are conducting sponsored research projects on behalf of NIC. He also specializes in developing new industry metrics, implementing new processes and data solutions, and building new products and reporting capabilities, including dashboards and proformas, for clients and internal stakeholders.
Prior to his current role, Zahraoui worked as a data analyst at Calpine Corporation, supporting the development of new-business strategy initiatives, analyzing sales and financial data, and developing statistical modeling of consumers’ behaviors to drive business performance.
Zahraoui holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with concentrations in finance and management. He also earned a master’s degree in corporate finance from IAE Lyon School of Management at Jean Moulin Lyon III University in France, as well as a Master of Science in Management Information Systems and Data Analytics from Pace University. Further, he has acquired Data Science and Machine Learning certificates from MIT and Harvard, respectively.
